As Controller, Mr. Clingan is responsible for directing the firm’s property and corporate accounting, financial management, tax and reporting activities. Prior to joining Washington Property Company, Mr. Clingan served as Controller for a large, local real estate development and management company where he oversaw the daily accounting functions, prepared year end tax projections and handled the company’s high profile properties as well as administered the company’s accounting and management software. Before entering the private sector, Mr. Clingan spent 8 years of his career in public accounting where he focused his attention on the real estate and construction industries and served clients with specialized partnership/LLC tax transactions including low income housing and historical tax credits. Mr. Clingan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Salisbury State University and resides with his family in Frederick, MD. |
